Yagil Levy

Professor Yagil Levy is the head of the Israeli Open University Institute for the Study of Civil–Military Relations. His most recent book in Hebrew, Shooting, Not Crying: The New Militarization of Israel in the 2000s, was published by Lamda Scholarship in 2023. From 2013 to 2015, Levy served as President of ERGOMAS—the European Research Group on Military and Society. He also publishes op-ed articles regularly in the Israeli newspaper Ha’aretz.
