Yehudah Mirsky
Yehudah Mirsky is a professor at Brandeis University and a faculty member of the Schusterman Center for Israel Studies. He teaches Jewish political thought, theology and mysticism, the history of Zionism and the State of Israel, environmental ethics, and human rights. He is currently a researcher at the Institute for Advanced Studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He worked for several years at the U.S. Department of State’s Office of Human Rights, is an ordained rabbi, and served as a chaplain for the Red Cross after September 11. He has written for major newspapers such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, and Ha’aretz. His critically acclaimed book, Rav Kook: Mystic in a Time of Revolution, won the Jewish Book Council’s Choice Award.
