# 126 / Editorial

This is the sixth episode of Israel upon Danube, Guy Konopnicki’s uchronistic novel that imagines the creation of a state for Jews in Austria. It shows how, in the 1950s, the question of normalizing relations between the Republic of the Jewish People and the Federal Republic of Germany arose – while tensions with the USSR continued to escalate.
